Privacy Policy

Overview

Karmaculator ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website karmaculator.com. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Information We Collect

Free tools: Free calculation tools (numerology, health, finance) perform all calculations locally. No personal data is collected or transmitted.

Saved birth details: Some tools save the birth details you enter (date, time, and place of birth) in your own browser's local storage, under the key karmaculator_profile, so you do not have to type them again on the next tool. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for karmaculator.com.

Vedic tools: Tools that generate Vedic birth chart readings require you to submit your birth date, time, and location. This information is transmitted to a third-party chart calculation service solely to generate your chart positions. It is not stored in a database and is not used for any other purpose.

Free Vedic Snapshot: The free Vedic Snapshot requires your email address to deliver your snapshot. Your email is stored in our email delivery system for this purpose.

Paid reports: Paid reports require your name, email address, and birth details. When you order, these are passed to Stripe with your order so the report can be generated from them and delivered to your inbox. They are held in Stripe's system as part of the order record. If you order the Life Codex before taking its quizzes, your quiz results (Ayurvedic constitution, success archetype and, if you take it, chakra result) are stored with the order in the same way, and we send one reminder email if they are not completed. Karmaculator does not store your payment card details.

Contact form: Messages submitted through our contact form are transmitted to a third-party form processing service and forwarded to hello@karmaculator.com. We retain these messages to respond to your enquiry.

Cookies

Karmaculator does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We measure site traffic with Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without placing cookies or storing anything in your browser. The only data the site keeps in your browser is the optional saved birth details described above, and a small amount of session storage that carries your details between steps of a report order. You can clear both through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data subject to their own privacy policies:

Stripe: payment processing for paid reports. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Vercel Web Analytics: privacy-friendly page view counting, without cookies.

Kerala Ayurveda: affiliate partner whose products are recommended on relevant pages.

A third-party chart calculation service for Vedic astrology tools.

An AI system for generating paid report content.

An email delivery service for transactional emails.

A hosting provider for site infrastructure.

Payment Information

Paid report purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details at any point. Your email address is used to deliver your report and for no other purpose. If you wish to request deletion of any personal data collected during a report purchase, contact us at hello@karmaculator.com.

Data Security

For free calculator users, no personal data is collected or stored on our servers. For paid report purchasers, birth details and contact information are processed server-side to generate and deliver the report. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

Children's Privacy

Karmaculator is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
